WordPress Membership Plugin
Simple Membership Plugin › Forums › Simple Membership Plugin › Integration with users form other website
Hi,
We have a website and been using the Simple Membership Plugin for a while.
We are looking into allowing the users of another website (WebsiteB) to interact with our website (WebsiteA)(they will build a number of interfaces that will request content from our website).
WebsiteB will track their userbase visits to WebsiteA.
– On the first visit (ever) WebsiteB can provide certain information about the user, so on WebsiteA server side a new user is created.
– In followup visits WebsiteB can use the information held by the first visit to initiate communication with WebsiteA. The interactions that will follow after user verification will be tracked with NONCEs.
This is pretty much what I have in mind at this stage.
Can someone suggest which Simple Membership Plugin methods to use on WebsiteA (server side) to:
– Create a user with information provided by WebsiteB (via WP REST API)
– Authenticate or rather verify that a user is a real user (let’s assume that the credentials are provided again via the WP REST API)
Regards,
Geirgios
Hi, This is definitely not recommended setup with our simple plugin. It’s just not how our plugin works unfortunately. You need to look for another membership plugin that has the kind of cross-site integration you are looking for.
