Dear all,
I think I messed around to much with your plug-in or at least I think so and now I got stuck.
Last time I was able to log in, in the plugin setting, I did sync simple members users with wordpress users. I thought the admin user wouldn’t be affected or would have kept same rights but today, when I turn on again the laptop and tried to connect to wp-login.php or to wp-admin, the system says I can’t connect possibly due to wrong credential. I thought to have messed around also with the admin credential and reset the password but even now with a new password it doesn’t work. this make me think the login is somehow disable.
If it is so, is there a way I can change these settings? Any way I could reset to default the membership plugin?
I have access to the DB with phpmyadmin or to the files system. Removing the plugin directory will reset the settings?
Sorry for the possible silly question but I’m new to wp and there is a lot to learn
thanks for your attention
Can you login as the WordPress admin account, through the WP login page?
The following tutorial may be helpful. It shows you how to create a new WordPress admin user account, which you can then use to reset the original user’s password or adjust their role as needed.
