How can we host a dynamic spreadsheet in our Membership section, without reveals

Hi!

Currently we are sharing a link to a Google Sheet with Membership info (Name/Email & Business Name).
However, there are 2 issues:
1. Anyone with the URL could use the shared link
2. The owner & people with whom the Google Sheet are shared, are visible to viewers.

Clearly, if members ignore our Terms of Use, they could potentially share the links to the spreadsheet with non-members, even if they do not have to share their logins.

Can you suggest a solution that would allow the organization’s admins to maintain an up-to-date listing (offline) that can be synced automatically with the one hosted on the Membership site?

There’s no foolproof way to prevent sharing of a Google Drive file when using the “Anyone with the link can access” setting.

While you can embed the file using Google’s viewer URL, users can still inspect the page source and extract the file ID, making it accessible outside the embed.

If security is a concern, consider an alternative approach:

• Convert the Google Doc into a PDF or download an Excel copy and provide it as a controlled download for members.
• This allows you to limit direct access and update the file periodically—such as once a month or whenever changes are made—by replacing the existing version.

This method offers better control over who can access the content.
