Honeypot instead of Google Recaptcha

Hi there again.

Can we use some kind of Honeypot instead of Google reCaptcha? As mentioned by others before adding an google Service is not GDPR compliant and so this is out of the picture for us in Germany.

It would be enough for me if I could auto delete users who did not authenticate via double opt in after 24 hours, but currently the limit is either 1 month or 2 months.

Any idea would be appreciated.

As an alternative to Google ReCaptcha, how about Cloudflare Turnstile? Our site has been using it for a few months now.

SWPM is Open Source code. You can always edit the code by hand, to include less than 1 or 2 months.

I also recommend trying the Cloudflare Turnstile CAPTCHA option, as suggested by @The Assurer. It tends to work very well in practice.
