Getting "Registration Confirmed" Message with "pending" status

I’ve set the new member registration status to “pending” so admin can approve each potential registrant.

But when I tested it as a new user, the redirect page (after I hit the “Register” button) comes up with a message saying “Registration confirmed. Please login.”

If you try to login, there is a small message at the bottom of the form that says “Account Pending,” so it is holding the registration for approval.

But how do I change the message on the redirect page? So they know that their registration is NOT confirmed and they can’t login yet. The registration page itself is just shortcode.

Hi, are you currently using the Form Builder add-on?

No — would help with this issue? I see that you can create a custom registration form with Form Builder, but I don’t see how you can control the message that displays after the user hits the registration button.

Hi, just to confirm is the following Registration Successful. Please Login the message that you receive? Or is it the following one.

“Registration confirmed. Please login.”

Please go to the following file /simple-membership/classes/class.swpm-front-registration.php. Look for line 86 and edit the text to suit your needs. Make sure you only edit the text within the strings and nothing else.

thanks — so i put that edited file in my child theme, in the simple membership folder?

No, you just have to edit the plugin file. However you can try your option, it might just work.

Turns out it doesn’t work if I put the file in the child theme. But it does work if I edit the plugin directly, thanks!

I’m saving the original in case my client changes her mind and decides she doesn’t want to pre-approve every registration.
