I’ve searched the forum but can’t find any related post to this error. When I attempt to log to my membership site as a visitor (i.e. not the WP Admin backend) if I try to access any protected content after login I get an error
You need to login to view this content. Simple Membership is not configured correctly. Please contact Admin
Its the bolded and red Simple Membership is not configured correctly that is confusing people.
Once I log in the message disappears, but then reappears upon accessing any protected content again.
Any ideas to help resolve this?
Hi, have you protected the content in any post and or pages? Do you have many membership levels? Are you currently using the Form Builder add-on?
We do have multiple levels of membership and multiple protected content pages. It appear this happened when we removed the link in the Join Us section of General Settings. We didn’t want to have a join us page as we invite members privately. Once we put a link back in there, the error resolved.
We are still completing out testing to see if it resolved all instances of it. We do use Form Builder as well. Is there a problem with the two?
Thanks for your help.
No, there are no problems with either plugin or add-on. I just wanted to know if you where using the Form Builder add-on. What version of Simple Membership do you have installed?
If you removed or deleted the Join Us page URL in the settings, then that would cause the error message you received. If you want to hide the Join Us link, please read the following instructions.
Let me know if you need more help.
Kind regards
I think that was it. Thanks for the help. This has been resolved.
