ParticipantMy client has Simple WordPress Membership Version 3.1.6 and Simple Membership Form Builder Version Version 3.8 installed on their site.
They had initially gone in and attempted to created a custom Registration form for the site and then decided that they preferred the original Registration form that came with your plugin better and deleted their custom one but now there is a “Error! Form not found.” coming up on their registration page.
How can I finish rolling back the site to use their old registration form?
Thanks!
John

ModeratorHi John, can you check if the following are enabled Enable Free Membership and Free Membership Level ID?
If they are did your client delete the Free Membership form? Is the form ID number correct?

ParticipantThanks for the reply…
Enable Free Membership is checked and Free Membership Level ID is set to 2.
On the page it has this shortcode: [swpm_registration_form]
I am not sure where to check to see if the form still exists.
Thanks!

ModeratorHi John, go to Membership Levels and look for a Free Membership Form. It will have a form ID. If you can’t find a Free membership form then you have to create one. Once you create the free membership form it will have an ID. You need to add the ID to the following field Free Membership Level ID.

ParticipantSomething is still off…
I went in and added a new Free Membership.
Entered the new ID into the settings page.
Went to the register page and saw the
Error! Form not found.
Submit
Error window.

ModeratorHi, disable the Form Builder Add-on if it is enabled. Make sure you also have a Free Membership Level created. Make sure you have removed the shorcode you created with the Form Builder Add-on.

ParticipantThanks again for the reply.
I disabled the Form Builder Add-on and the original registration form is now back.
I should mention that I did not change the short code on the pages and the the Form Builder Add-on never offered me one but rather it would over write the default form.
So I guess its only one or the other and if a user creates a registration form in form builder and then deletes it there will be no form found while the add-on is enabled, which seems like a bad user experience to me. I would have the code roll back to the default form if no form type was found in Form Builder Add-on even after creating and deleting one. Or have a special short code to be entered for the Form Builder Add-on forms versus having them overwrite the default short code.
Thanks!

ModeratorHi John, in regards to the following comment.
So I guess its only one or the other and if a user creates a registration form in form builder and then deletes it there will be no form found while the add-on is enabled,
If a user creates a paid registration form using the Form Builder Add-on, that form will not show up unless you add the shortcode. If you are referring to the a Free Membership form then yes, only one can exist. Another words if you create a Free Membership Form using the Form Builder Add-on then that form will take over the default Free from created by the plugin. But you also need to add the ID to the area mentioned above.
If you delete the Free form created using the add-on then it will default back to the default form created by the plugin. But because you were having issues and you mentioned that you did not want to use the Form Builder Add-on that’s when I suggested you disable the Form Builder Add-on. By disabling the add-on you remove any trace of the forms created using the add-on.
Let me know if you understand my explanation above.
Kind regards
