Tagged: form builder addon, profile page, Update Profile
The Profile Page that is modified by the Form Builder Addon is reseting the users role, apparently to the default role, when updated and submitted by a user. It profile change appears to be functioning as a new registration form rather than an update. So if a member wants to add or change his image, his role is changed as well. This can be very inconvenient for someone with the Administrator role who finds that he/she no longer has access to the dashboard. Is there any way to control this, or am I missing something.
I did that first but have not received a reply, so I thought I would try here instead. Thanks for the rapid response.
Hi, I have submitted a message to the developers.
Thank you for your patience.
Kind regards
Awesome! Thanks for your help.
Hi, The role of the member is set to the role you specify in the “membership level” in question. So you should not be putting any admin user to a membership level that has lets say a role of “subscriber”
Generally, an admin user doesn’t need to be in the membership system. If you want to import an admin user into simple membership, you can create a new membership level with “admin” role then put that user into that membership level.
I have just sent this info to you via email (to your email address that you are using for your profile). So you can reply to that email.
