ParticipantHello,
My subscriber recieved this message, when She clicked the registration link ( {reg_link} ):
“Error! Invalid Request. Could not find a match for the given security code and the user ID.”
What does it mean? What is the problem?
Thanks
David

ModeratorThis is the link to complete registration, in the email?
Is she the ONLY person that receives this error?
Have you seen the email link she is referring to?

She is the first/only.
Have you seen the email link she is referring to?
Something isn’t right about that link. Can you please post a copy of the complete email she received? It may be that her email client “did something” to the registration completion link.

ModeratorClicking the link does not result in the error described. Unless you are able to recreate the issue; my belief is that her email client did “something” to make the registration completion link invalid; most likely a word wrap.

ModeratorYes, I saw that too. But it is not the original “Error! Invalid Request. Could not find a match for the given security code and the user ID.” error that you originally reported. In the case of the above screenshot, I think it’s because the link was clicked “1 too many times.”
So… can you reproduce the original error message that you reported?

ParticipantI don’t understand. These are same errors.

“1 too many times.”
Maybe… But her account has not activated and this is the problem.
Thanks
David

ModeratorGotcha. I was paying too much attention to the rest of the screen. It’s saying it could not match the “security code, and user ID” provided by the link, to a valid registration request.
Have you been able to reproduce this with any other member? If you register a new member, and then send it a registration link, does the error still occur?
