Email based registration for Free Membership..

Hi,

this is my 4th request & i should tell you that I am really very happy with your plugin, addons & support! You people are superb…

So here comes my one more request, kind attention please..
I have free membership and as guided in documentation, i show registration form with several fields there. Instead, can i just take email & phone from user and get him registered by sending him mail with unique link. Clicking that link should allow him to create his user-pass and other profile details. The plugin anyway allows user-login by email also! we already have this for paid registration. Can i implement it for trial registration using some shortcode or something? I already have FormBuilder Module purchased…

Hi, I think your question is more related to the form builder addon. Please create a premium addon support ticket.

I can create a premium addon support ticket. But just to draw your kind attention, this is actually not about form builder. It’s about registration process. In paid registration process, we use email of person who makes successful payment, and we send him unique link to complete registration process. I want to do the same thing, but for free membership level. I want to take take email & mobile number and send him email to complete registration. I think a shortcode should be able to present this registration form and and send email to complete registration.. kindly advice..

Hi @vinaysamant, thank you for clarifying further what you are trying to achieve. However currently the free membership registration process is different to the paid registration process.

In the above URL link the following part is different between free and paid.

Paid = After payment the user receives an e-mail with a special link that the user clicks on to complete the registration for the paid level.

Free = When registration is completed the free membership account is created.

I believe the developers will be adding in a future release the same process for both paid and free membership registration. This will then allow you to carry out the action of sending an e-mail to the person that has registered for a free membership account.

No..
I just want to collect email & mobile of end-user and give away registration. But then user should click on the link and create his login credentials. This make things lot simpler. When we present big registration form, free-users tends to run away!

help me in this if you can. I think you can create a simple shortcode to collect just email and send secret code email to complete registraion. You have to functionality, just needs to be adopted for this scenario! awaiting your kind positive response..

Hi, thank you for sharing more information. I think this requires some special function and then maybe a shortcode to execute what you want. Unfortunately I am not a developer as such. I have submitted a message to the developers to investigate further your request.
