ParticipantHi,
Edit Profile doesn’t work
If a Member clicks on their Pic or Name, yes, they Can get to Their Profile and Edit it.
However, I’d have to mention that and that would be too much for them.
What am I missing?1) Edit Profile .com/membership-login/edit-profile/
(I took out [bbp_profile] code bec that didn’t work) maybe need one that got shuffled out2) Profile: has this in body [swpm_profile_form]
url: .com/membership-profile/
When member IS logged in and click on that it comes up:
Profile
Your are not logged in.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~WP Settings
login: .com/membership-login/ (OK, works fine)
Reg: .com/membership-join/membership-registration/ (blank page)(but they are registering on Join Us so not sure about this.)Join us: .com/registration/
Edit profile page: com/membership-login/edit-profile/
pw reset page: .com/membership-login/password-reset/ (OK, works fine~*~ Thanks!
ModeratorHi, I suspect you have a plugin conflict. Disable all your other plugins except this one. Then try again? You might like to share a screen capture of your current issue. This will allow us to further understand your current issue. Can you have a look at this instructions. Let me know which image you are referring to.
Thank you
ParticipantHi,
Thanks for the instruction link, good info. Except it doesn’t have Profile Page info.
— Do we create a 3 Pages all with the SAME code [swpm_profile_form]
Login Page, Profile page, And Edit Profile Page?That’s where I started and it didn’t work.
I did disable plugins and even my Theme and activated the BP theme (twenty ten I believe) and that still didn’t work.
Clicking on Edit Profile still gets me to the page that says:
Edit Profile
You are not logged in.even when member IS Logged in.
ParticipantI have Users but nothing under Members.
WP Membership > Members is 0.
Although there are 4 Users (Participant, Keymaster)Not sure if this is also a problem with this issue.
ModeratorHi in regards to the following question.
— Do we create a 3 Pages all with the SAME code [swpm_profile_form]
Login Page, Profile page, And Edit Profile Page?These are the shortcode for each page the plugin creates.
- Login Page URL = The shortcode for this page is [swpm_login_form]
- Registration Page URL = The shortcode for this page is [swpm_registration_form]
- Join Us Page URL = This page simply advertises your memebership website. In this page you can add any information, publicity, membership levels and more.
- Edit Profile Page URL = The shortcode for this page is [swpm_profile_form]
- Password Reset Page URL = The shortcode for this page is [swpm_reset_form]
In regards to the following question.
I have Users but nothing under Members.WP Membership > Members is 0.
Although there are 4 Users (Participant, Keymaster)Not sure if this is also a problem with this issue.
Are these users signed up as WordPress members or did they sign up into Simple Membership plugin?
ParticipantThank You for all the info. You’re great! 🙂
Solution to Edit Profile: After searching the web and youtube for days and days…and Praying to my Angels, while waving my Magic Wand…I finally came upon a Plugin that was what I was looking for.
Searching for a Howdy Activity Toolbar for the Frontend for Members is:
WP User FrontendI’m not using a lot of what comes with it–I just need the Howdy. Seems to be a lot of complaints–but so far it’s working great for me.
Now a Happy Camper!
They are Not paying members and more helpers.
However, 2 are assigned as s2MemberLevel 4, 1 is a Subscriber, another a ContributorDecember 8, 2015 at 9:42 pm #4409mbrsolution
ModeratorThis is where your problem might be in regards to the above comment, between S2Member and this plugin. Are they signing up into S2Members plugin or Simple Membership plugin?
December 8, 2015 at 9:48 pm #4412sunnyday
ParticipantAlthough there’s another current post where members aren’t adding to their site either.
oh, you’re not s2member? I thought I deleted everything from a previous plugin.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RE the Join problem. Very strange but all I did was Copy/Paste the same info on my Join Us page and paste it to a new Join Us page and it worked. Maybe a hidden code got wrapped up in that page.When I get some members happening, I can buy/upgrade. Vet bills and such lately.
Thanks
ModeratorThank you for reporting back. Does this mean that your problem is resolved?
ParticipantHi,
Sorry for the late reply, YE and clients wait for last minute help on taxes/acctg.
1) Thank you, you are right. I changed my helpers/friends from s2 to Subscriber. Yet nothing shows under Member.
2) Does someone actually have to pay and use the buttons b4 they get listed on the Members? I thought I could make them Members.
3) How do I show a diff level? Couldn’t find your page on Choices but should I set Free/Gold AND Platinum to all Subscribers?
Thanks
ParticipantI do see this link [swpm_registration_form level=3] for non-paying that I can do.
