    I manually upgraded a users membership level under “WP Membership” >> “Members”.

    However, it did not update the WordPress role associated with the membership level.

    It is important that this updates, because a lot of the menu items that I have only show depending on their wordpress role.

    Can you help?

    how did you update wordpress role from members menu? this is no option to do that in simple membership plugin.
    the only place you can do that is in “WP Membership” >> “Membership Levels”
