I have set my default account status to Active but some of my memberships are coming through as Pending. Can you tell me why please.

Are these members that are still pending, are they paid members? If they are, have you received payment yet? If you haven’t then their account will remain as pending until they have made the payment.
No, they are Complimentary (free) members.
Okay thank you for reporting back. How many would you say are in pending mode out of all that subscribe? This looks more like some are not finalizing their subscription.

Not very many, but then I haven’t opened it up to general memberships yet. I want to get the kinks worked out first, so right now I mainly just have my Moderators subscribing and they are Complimentary. Paid subscriptions are working well. Two Mods subscribed today for the second time and both of them came through as pending. I have sent them both screenshots to ask if this is the page that they registered from. I have heard back from one that he doesn’t remember clicking the Complimentary Membership button but he can’t remember how or where he subscribed.
I’m wondering if, when I was setting this up, I had a link somewhere on the site that I now can’t find.
