Hi,
I installed and configured the Custome Messages extension, and simply changed the message to You need to login to view this content. <br>Please login but for some reason the a tag or any HTML disappears from the front end.
Please advice.
Hi, can you share the full message including the HTML code.
Thank you
I did, the HTML was rendered I guess. Here it is again, is just an a tag with a br tag:
You need to login to view this content. <br><a href="/staff-login/">Please login</a>
Hi, so you are saying that in the above shortcode the following HTML <br><a href="/staff-login/">Please login</a> is not working and not showing on your front end?
Yes, I’m saying that this:
You need to login to view this content. <br><a href="/staff-login/">Please log in</a>
Appears as this on the front end:
You need to login to view this content. Please log in
With no link on the “Please log in” phrase. It’s all just plain text.
Do you have the latest version of the add-on?
Also if you do have the latest version, can you try the following. Disable all your other plugins except this plugin and the add-ons. Then try the custom message again.
I already did all the basic troubleshooting (disable all other plugins, make sure I have latest version of plugins and core, etc). I also checked for js errors in the console and nothing.
Can you test one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Fourteen or Fifteen? Can you also share the URL with the custom message so that I can check.
Thank you
