ParticipantI am unable to import my 2 row CSV file that I am testing using either Browser or WP import.
CSV import says the file is not a valid CSV file in red at the top of the screen and doesn’t show the column count.
Here’s my file:
member_id,user_name,first_name,last_name,password,member_since,membership_level,more_membership_levels,account_state,last_accessed,last_accessed_from_ip,email,phone,address_street,address_city,address_state,address_zipcode,home_page,country,gender,referrer,extra_info,reg_code,subscription_starts,initial_membership_level,txn_id,subscr_id,company_name,notes,flags,profile_image

ModeratorHi, are you using the following documentation to import your files?
May 12, 2017 at 8:20 pm #10909xbootnek
ParticipantYes and exactly.
I am using a ChromeBox and the CSV file is in my Download folder. Your dialog sees the file but cannot read it.

ModeratorHi, what if you put your CSV file in your computer? Simply upload it from your computer? Let me know if that works.

ParticipantI tried from a Win 10 machine. I get the same result. The file name is displayed but nothing is saved anywhere.

ModeratorCan you confirm that the fields are in the same order as per the instructions above? I have tested this myself and it works for me. You might want to read the following thread. Their issue might be related to yours. They were able to resolved the issue.
Thank you

ParticipantFields are the same and I am following the procedure. I get the same results on Win 10 and on my ChromeBox.
I note that after Upload the next page shows the csv file name at the top correctly but below it adds “-x” to the name where x is a sequential number that increments each time I upload. At no time does any file appear under the tab “From Computer” tab.
I have tried both browser and multi-file uploads. No difference.

ParticipantRemind me again. Am I supposed to using the 25 or 31 column csv layout?

ModeratorHi, you should not be going beyond the number of columns specified in the sample file in the documentation I shared above.

ParticipantYour documentation has one csv layout with 25 columns and another with 31. Which is correct?

ModeratorHi, use the text file sample as a guide without adding more tables.
