having difficulty creating a private membership site re
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/creating-private-membership-site/
can someone add a bit more information?
What part in the documentation are you finding difficult to follow?
this is what I was looking at
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/creating-private-membership-site/
but I wondered if there was something available that was more detailed?
else I’ll probably get there through trial and error. But thanks for the response.
Here’s the text …
1. Edit the “Join Us” page that the plugin created (you can find it under the pages menu)
2. Explain that this is a private membership site and you don’t accept any public registration. You can also tell them to contact you for more details (if needed).
3. Edit your “Registration” page and remove the shortcode from there (you will probably be creating the membership account from the admin dashboard side).
It didn’t work but that’s most likely because I missed something out.
I have wordpress 4.7.3
Thank you for providing more information. Please read the following documentation. Let me know if this helps you further.
Kind regards
ok thanks will take a look but does this note “only your members will be able to login to view any post or page you have protected from the public” refer to protecting individual pages or posts rather than the whole site?
Will check it out though.
The instructions will allow you to create a private site. Another words no one can register via your site only you can register members manually via the plugins admin.
Let me know if you need more help.
Thank you
