Complimentary Membership Process For Getting Confirmation Link

I have paid subscriptions working fine but am having a problem with Registration process for Free Memberships. I have read the documentation but I think I’m missing something.

I cannot find a process for making a “Free Button” Membership Level which will generate the email for new members to get their registration link, so what I’ve done instead is just make my button go to the Registration page where they fill in their profile. What this does is create a User but not a Member.

What am I missing?

Hi, when you say the free membership button are you also referring to the Join Us page?

Yes, that is correct. Is it OK the way I’ve done it so that it just takes them directly to the registration page, or is it a requirement that they get an email link?

Yes that is correct the way you have implemented the Free membership set up. If it was a paid membership set up then the signing up process would be different.
