Tagged: php error
I have looked through a number of the topics in this forum which seem to have similar issues but not exactly the same. I am getting the error “Cannot modify header information – headers already sent” constantly from my web app. I have checked the files in question for any extra spacing, but there are none there and am now at a loss as to what is going on. When I deactivate the plugin, the errors stop completely. Last week there was a spike in errors which stopped the MySQL service of the server which brought all the web apps on the server down.
A screenshot of the errors can be found here:
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
What WP theme are you using? Have you tried using SWPM with one of the standard WP themes?
The explanation for the error is this…
Every HTML page consists of 3 parts; header, body and footer. If more than 1 header is sent, or if the parts are sent in the wrong order, you get that error. Usually, the error occurs because of a problem with one of the theme’s templates.
Hi – thanks for your response (and apologies for the delayed reply!).
We are using Salient Theme, which we have used on numerous sites that do not suffer this issue. From your explanation is it reasonable to assume a compatibility issues between plugin and theme? As stated in the last message, when I deactivate the plugin this issue stops completely. Or could you suggest or know any way that this can be resolved?
Thanks for your advice on the matter!
The most practical way to determine if there is a theme conflict, is to temporarily change the theme; if only for a few moments.
I will have to try this out of hours and report back.
