Tagged: Subscribers Cancelation
I thought I had this set up correctly but now I don’t think I do. Its a brand new website so I wanted to let people help me test it out. Unfortunately they did not sign up for the free membership but did the free 7 day trial instead. Now they are being billed. When I went to Refund them on PayPal and also make it easier for them to cancel their accounts on PayPal I realized their accounts do not have a Subscriber ID/Reference number in the simple membership plugin. I have no clue why. Any ideas?
Second question is, can I make their free trial last for longer then 7 days. I can’t find their payment info anywhere on PayPal to cancel it there or a way to increase the trial in the plugin. Its seems like it doesn’t get sent to payday until 7 days are up. Ideally I will give them access to it as long as they want to try the site.
Feel like I really missed a step somewhere.
Fully read the following page as it has some good information in terms of how you can offer a trial option:
The 2nd option is most likely the better option for you since you don’t want to start charging them automatically after the initial trial period.
In your PayPal account, you can go to the subscriptions tab to see all the active subscriptions and cancel any. You can find this tab in the following URL of your PayPal account:
Thank you for the PayPal info. The people who are still on the free trial period are not showing up in PayPal. not sure how to cancel their payments before they happen. Is there info on making a cancelation page that will automatically cancel the PayPal park and their access to my site?
