Hi, are you sure that the Free member does not have access tot he protected page? Or is this a protected Post? If it is a protected post do you also have Categories protected enabled? Do you have any other plugin that might interfere with this plugin?
1. I am sure that member doesn’t have an access to protected page. Also he can’t see it and that’s ok.
2. It is page, not a post.
3. I’ll test it without other plugins in 30 minutes and leave a comment.
OK. I tested it without any turned on plugins and there is the same bug.
User with Free membership level can add comment to Premium membership level protected post.
Can you also test a different theme like one of WordPress default themes “Twenty Fifteen”?
Tested with default theme Twenty Sixteen. I can make a screeenshots but the language of UI will be Russian.
This is not a bug. The posting of comment is not restricted to any membership level. Posting of comment is not content.
It ONLY protects actual content (like post/page/comment content) for a particular membership level. The ability to post comment is open for everyone (or to logged in members only). There is nothing to do with membership level when it comes to the comment posting ability.
This is how most of our users want that feature to behave. So we like to keep it that way.
If you are unsure just ask what the intended behavior of a feature is. Remember, this plugin is not going to fit everyone’s need. It is impossible to create one plugin that just works for everyone.
