Hi there, I am new of this wonderful plugin. I wonder if it is possible to change the workflow of the plugin and allow user registration before paying? If it possible, how can I do that?

hi,
yes it’s possible:
you can create a free membership in addition to your paid offer.
In order to allow payment only to those who register, just protect the page containing the payment button(an upgrade button, actually).
And redirect free members to this page after they log in.
