bbPress Forum Integration question

Does the bbPress Forum Integration add-on handle bbPress logins? Without it, I add a member in swpm and they can see the forums, but bbPress says they are not logged in, since it is looking at the WP users. If I add the user to WP and swpm, of course, then when the user logs in via swpm bbPress recognizes the login.

So my question is, with the bbPress integration add-on, do members still need a WP account to post to the forums, or just a swpm membership?

Your members need to belong to the Membership level in SWPM which has been assigned to protect the bbPress forum. If they don’t belong to that level then they will see a message saying Private, you do not have permission to view this forum.

So the answer to your question is No they don’t need a WP account. This plugin works independently from WP.
