Tagged: login, recaptcha, Registration
My registration and login pages have recaptcha enabled. It doesn’t appear on the registration form until filling in the registration info and clicking on the ‘Register’ button. It now tells you off for not clicking on the (non-existent) recaptcha field and you have to fill in the form a second time. The recaptcha field does appear on the second time filling in the form! The same happens when logging in which makes for a very poor user experience. How can I solve this?
Are these the instructions you are following?

Yes, I’ve followed those instructions.
Have you tried using an incognito window, in case you have any browser extension interference?
That worked! So, I think I can assume it’s working okay, except for me when logged in on my site/browser?
You need to investigate your browser settings. And I assume you are using a REAL hosting provider, and not a localhost setup?
Yes, using a REAL hosting provider. What settings do I need to check (I use Chrome)?
Start by ensuring you have the latest version of Chrome. Also, check your extensions to make sure they are still computable with changes Google made. Also check that you are not blocking any required cookies. Hint: cookies from your site AND Google are required.
All done. Thank you for taking the time to help.
For the record; what was the root cause?
I can’t be certain but I think a Chrome update or a cache flush sorted it.
