ParticipantHi there. We want to be able to approve membership applications even though membership is free to stop just anyone being able to access member areas without being approved. We tested the process of requesting access to the members’ area of the website; it didn’t require Admin to approve the request for access, even though the setting is set to “Pending” as default for new applicants. All users are automatically “Active”. Can’t this be changed?
Thank you.February 28, 2020 at 3:08 pm #19855Denise
ParticipantThis is also my desire and I’m having the same exact issue!

ModeratorHi, the feature is available when you create a new membership level. Make sure it is disabled. Then carry out a test. Let me know how you go.
Thank you

ParticipantI have this featured disabled and when a new user fills out the form it immediately gives them the message “Registration is complete. You can now log into the site”, event though the Default Account Status is “pending”.

ParticipantAh! But alas, when I tried to log with that account, it said that it was pending! And now I see that the new account was pending until it was made active! So this is good.
Can the default message saying “Registration is complete. You can now log into the site” be changed?
Thank you

ModeratorHi @Denise,
Can the default message saying “Registration is complete. You can now log into the site” be changed?
That message belongs to the Form Builder addon. You need to edit the message located in the Confirmation feature of the form in question.
Let me know if the above helps you.
Thank you
