ParticipantHi
This is a weird thing that has started happening two days ago, and usually only in Firefox and IE 11, but also sometimes in Chrome. After Editing a member’s details, I click Update Profile, all the changes go into the database okay, but instead of closing the Edit page on that member and showing the Membership::Members list, I get a blank page!
Looking in the debugging consoles of the 3 browsers mentioned above, all I get is in IE 11:
Failed to open http://www.iwcn.ch/wp-admin/admin.php?page=simple_wp_membership&member_action=edit&member_id=217
(No kidding!!!)
It does this no matter which member I go to update. I can live with it, but my Membership Secretary doesn’t like it, and it should not happen.
Any ideas?

ModeratorHi, have you tried a different laptop or desktop? Can you recall if anything changed in your website or machine before this started to happen?

ParticipantOn my laptop it works with Chrome but not IE 11. On the Membership Sec’s two laptops, it happens with IE 11 and Chrome. She hasn’t tried FF yet. I will ask someone else to test today.
I diffed the class.swpm-admin-registration.php on the server with the one in the latest download of SWPM 3.0.8 – nothing different. The Mem Sec is in a different country till Saturday, when I can look at her laptops with a debugging console and maybe get somewhere.
Far worse now is that also with the Front End Add, she cannot complete the process at all – and no data is saved! She gets the same blank screen after submitting, while the URL of the Add Member form remains! But I can create new members in the front-end on my laptop. Very puzzling.

ModeratorHi how much memory do you have allocated to your website? Can you also try to disable all other plugins except this one and carry out another test?
Thank you

ParticipantHi again!
What I did was copy my entire website and db to a different server, remove all of my production version of SWPM, and start again with a clean version of 3.0.8. After all the work I have done I am still not entirely sure what IE and FF did not like, but got it working again on the new server, then copied back to my prod server again.
I am fairly sure however that the problem comes from FTP cutting off my connection when I am transferring files I have changed, without any notification, so that I think I have updated the production files but in some cases they have not been sent.
So it’s nothing to do with Simple Membership plugin at all! Thanks for your replies anyway, and I will see about improving my connection capabilities to the hosting server, so this does not happen again.

ModeratorHi, I am happy to know you have found a solution.
That is correct, sometimes while FTP into the server if the connection gets cut of some files might not get transferred.
Enjoy the plugin.
Regards
