Hi!
When admin changes members password manually, and click Notify User and enter data in Mail Subject and Mail Data fields, two emails are sent to member.
First email says:
Hi member,
This notice confirms that your password was changed on [WEBSITE NAME.]
If you did not change your password, please contact the Site Administrator at
[XXXX@XXXX.COM ]This email has been sent to [MEMBERS EMAIL ADDRESS]
Regards,
And member also gets another email with what data is entered in mail subject and mail body fields under Notify User.
The first message in quote blocks above is not what I want to send the member, because I cannot edit it to have the support email address that is piped to our ticket system, and it does not have the other information that I want to display in that email content.
I only want the content I sent in mail subject and mail body fields.
I looked for fields in Email Settings to edit, and there is nothing there to set message when password is manually adjusted by admin.
Please advise what I can do to provent the first one going to the member?
Thanks!
Hi, the plugin developers will investigate further your request.
Thank you
Thanks for that, and also for your speedy response!
Have an awesome New Year!
One of the mail is coming for core WordPress system. WordPress does that when a user’s password is changed.
You would need to control that email from WordPress.
A plugin like the following can help you turn off the email sent by WordPress when a user password is changed:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/manage-notification-emails/
Thank you so much for that suggestion! I had no idea about core emails so you are actually educating me!
And the plugin you recommended worked just fine.
Have an awesome weekend.
