ParticipantI’m here to figure out if the Simple Membership Plugin can do what I need it to do. Here is the scenario.
Customer clicks a Subscribe button to sign up for a $30/month meal plan subscription.
On the registration/payment form, there is a dropdown to select which farm they get their produce from. (I think I would need the Form addon to do this, which is fine)
Then after completing payment, the customer would get added into the Mailchimp audience (or it could be done with a tag – I would be fine with setting up Mailchimp either way) for the farm they indicated.
All the content (meal plans) will then get sent from Mailchimp. Can this work, or does each different farm have to be its own product?

ModeratorHi,

Then after completing payment, the customer would get added into the Mailchimp audience (or it could be done with a tag – I would be fine with setting up Mailchimp either way) for the farm they indicated.
Our plugin/ addon can achieve the above.
All the content (meal plans) will then get sent from Mailchimp.
This would have to be configured in MaiclChimp if it allows it.
Thank you

ParticipantWow, thank you! I have been researching plugins for days and yours is the first to say it can do this.
All others have said that each farm would have to be its own product in order for it to be able to send the info to a specific Mailchimp audience or tag, i.e. it couldn’t do the Mailchimp part on the basis of what was selected on the registration form, but only on the basis of the product.
I will give it a whirl and see how it goes!

ModeratorHi, just before you go ahead.
All others have said that each farm would have to be its own product in order for it to be able to send the info to a specific Mailchimp audience or tag, i.e. it couldn’t do the Mailchimp part on the basis of what was selected on the registration form, but only on the basis of the product.
I am not 100% sure about the above. Please before you purchase any addon, submit a contact form message first before you go ahead.
Thank you

ParticipantI actually did submit a contact form message a few minutes before you responded to this forum message. So you should have a message from me already.
Do you offer a refund on the addon if it can’t do what I need? I would be willing to try it if I know I could get a refund if it cannot do what I need.
Thank you!

KeymasterHi, I have sent this message to your email reply also.
Please read the following documentation fully so you under the registration process that is used by our plugin. This is just good for a general understanding.
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/membership-registration-process-overview/Now, in your case it doesn’t look like there is any payment involved. I am guessing you will allow a user to register directly into a membership level and get signed up to Mailchimp. So you probably want to have a few different pages with different FREE registration forms for the different membership levels. The following page explains how you can embed a registration form that will allow a user to register to a certain level directly (no payment is involved in the process).
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/simple-membership-registration-form-shortcode-generator/The mailchimp signup is triggered when the user registration is complete. So for each membership level, you can choose to add users to a particular MailChimp list or use interest groups to add them to one list with different inerest groups. How to configure the mailchimp is explained here:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/signup-members-mailchimp-list/The Mailchimp addon is free. So you don’t need to buy anything.
The different farms need to be identified using the different membership levels. That is the way our plugin does the grouping. Here is an example to help you visualize it.
Lets call a membership level “Farm A” and another level “Farm B” and another one “Farm C”. Now, you can create three different payment buttons within our plugin (one for each of those 3 membership levels). The payment buttons all charge the same amount but having different payment buttons for the different levels will allow the plugin to identify which level a user should go to. Lets say the visitors now goes to your “Join Us” page and they see the 3 different farm options. They can pick the one they want to join and pay for that level. After the payment, they will be allowed to register (create an account) for the level they paid for. They will be added to the MailChimp list for the level accordingly (so if someone joined “Farm A” then they will get added to the MailChimp List for “Farm A”).
