ParticipantHello,
I saw already that my question is not new, but I canΒ΄t find the solution of the problem in the topic.
My problem as follows:
A member use Login and is looged in letΒ΄s say this Login Area is named “Downloads”, then he switch to an other menu of the website – e.g. to Products” and then back to “Downloads”.
Now he is still logged in but did not have access tho the content of “Downloads” because there is the following page:
————–Login
TestUser1Account Status
ActiveMembership
TestAccount End
xxxlogout
————-
Is it possible to switch directly to the site which is shown after the “direct” Login or
is it possible to logout (e.g. with a warning message before) automatically if there should be a switch to an other menu (Products)? Is there an solution?
Thank you very much in advance.

P.S. My site is just on a localhost, therefor I can not post a link πJuly 28, 2016 at 11:31 pm #7596mbrsolution
ModeratorHi, have you tried the following add-on?
August 1, 2016 at 8:46 am #7663marie21
ParticipantHi,
thanks for your answer.
Yes, I have this add-on already in use to switch from Login to the special site for this user-group.
My problem is as follows:
– User1 is going to “Login” in WordPress Menu “Downloads” (URL: domain.de/membership-login/) redirecting is working fine.
– Now User1 decide to switch from Menu “Downloads” e.g. to Menu “Products” and then back to Menu “Downloads” then he will see normal Login-Area. That would be also ok.
– Now User1 goes to login and then he will see this “stupid” message – BUT the URL after Login is still the same as he used Login firsttime (URL: domain.de/membership-login/) -> so therefor the redirecting is not working.βββββ
Login
TestUser1Account Status
ActiveMembership
TestAccount End
xxxlogout
ββββ-Many thanks in advance.

ModeratorHi, can you clarify the following comment?
Login to the special site for this user-group.What do you mean by special site?
August 2, 2016 at 6:43 am #7679marie21
ParticipantHi,
special site means that User1 has the status/group “Test-User-Group1” and will be redirected to the site with the content he is allowed to see.
If we have User2 he has an other status/group e.g. “Sunshine” and will be redirected to the content of “sunshine”.
So thats the meaning of “Special Site” itΒ΄s just the site where the user will be redirectet after they log in.
I hope you can understand π
Regards.

ModeratorHi, thank you for clarifying your information further. Just one question, is the user that is login in an admin by any chance or a normal user that belongs to a membership level?
Could you also carry out the following test since you are running this site locally.
August 2, 2016 at 1:42 pm #7685marie21
ParticipantThe User no admin, he belongs just to a membership level.
I will try this test and give feedback.

ModeratorHi, this is where the problem lies in your site.
ALL Plugins deactivated except the simple membership plugin -> No Login possible. That means if I try to login as a membership user I see the Login Form, type in email and password and get switch back to login form
That tells me straight away that the plugin is not working correctly in your site. Carry out the following, deactivate and delete the plugin. Install a new fresh copy of the plugin. Disable all other plugins and carry out the same as mentioned above. Report back sharing the outcome.
Thank you

ParticipantSorry for the late response – I was some days off.
Now I tried:
1) deactivate simple membership plugin
2) delete the plugin (also after login redirect)
3) new istallation of simple membership plugin (also add-on: after login redirect)
4) deactivate all other plugins except simple membership plugin and redirect add-onOutcome: Same as like before on 02.08. #7687 number 1)…
“1)
ALL Plugins deactivated except the simple membership plugin -> No Login possible. That means if I try to login as a membership user I see the Login Form, type in email and password and get switch back to login form”BUT: Site is online right now: http://www.nest-electronics.com

ModeratorJust to make sure that all the pages are correct, can you read the following documentation. And this time when you carry out a test can you disable the after login redirect add-on.
Thank you

ParticipantHi,
Test was carried out at the local installation.
All pages were created correctly. To play it safe, I now have all deleted and recreated according to instructions.
After Login Redirect add-on is no longer installed.
Quick and painless – the result is still the same. π
After logging (URL: http: // domain / WordPress / member-login /) I land again on the home page of the website, since it is not forwarded to any other page.
Then I switch to another menu item and return to the area for registered members and land on the URL (such as when logging in) http: // domain / WordPress / member-login /, only this time just this unwanted content (as follows) is shown.—–
logged in asTestUser1
account status
Active
membership
xxx
Account will expire on
never
log out
——What have I still a possibility that the user when leaving the members area (whether through changes within the website or leaving the website) is automatically logged off. So the problem should then also no longer occur.
Thank you already for your efforts.

ModeratorYour problem could also be related to a browser specific issue. Try different browsers and see if you the get the same results.
