Member Group Question (Social Interaction)

I love this plugin and the features! You have all done an excellent job!

I have a question about group memberships and don’t think this plugin is built out this way but figured I’d ask. I will be manually adding members to a designated group so they will not need to register. There will be a total of 5 different member groups. The members in one group shouldn’t see or know that the other groups exist and shared files should be accessible only with members from that specific group (this appears to already be integrated into this system).

The next part I’m not sure how to accomplish. I would like members in a particular group to have access to see other members and member profiles within that group. They should also have the option to connect with only people in their particular group by choosing whether they want to keep their profile and information private or if they allow others to see it. Also allowing them to send internal messages to each other.

With that in mind do you know of a way that I can achieve this functionality with the Simple Membership Plugin the way it is, or combining a few plugins with this plugin?
