ParticipantHello,
I have been using the plugin for about 6 months and have not had any problems. I have 3 membership types: Free, Monthly Subscription and a Premium Lifetime Membership.
I have had 2 consecutive problems with the members signing up on the ‘Premium Lifetime Membership’ plan. I checked the bug report and this entry seems to be causing the problem (although the times are similar, the dates are different):
[12/06/2015 12:21 PM] – FAILURE :Error! Failed to insert a new member record. This request will fail.
[12/07/2015 12:22 PM] – FAILURE :Error! Failed to insert a new member record. This request will fail. When I check in the payment section of the plugin, there are indeed records of the payment being received.
The Free Member registrations and the Monthly Member registrations (which is also paid) seem to be working fine. The problem is only happening with the Lifetime Premium Membership.
Let me know what other information I can provide you to resolve this issue.
Sincerely,
Amy*** FYI only – I’m not requesting support for this – When you click on the ‘View Profile’ from the payment section, it takes you to the admin profile rather than the person who made the payment. I was hoping I could upgrade the account directly through the account which had the payment ID attached to it.

ModeratorHi can you check the following troubleshooting instructions.
In regards to the following question.
*** FYI only – I’m not requesting support for this – When you click on the ‘View Profile’ from the payment section, it takes you to the admin profile rather than the person who made the payment. I was hoping I could upgrade the account directly through the account which had the payment ID attached to it.
The plugin developers will investigate further your request.
Thank you

ParticipantHello,
Ok, so I followed all the troubleshooting and yes I do have IPN activated in my account. That is not the problem.
Here is what is showing in the debug log:
Remember, this is only happening for one type of membership purchase (Premium Lifetime membership), the second paid membership is working fine (Monthly Membership). I have added a —- in the areas with email addresses or names to protect the buyers identity, just so you know it´s not an error.[12/07/2015 12:22 PM] – SUCCESS :Paypal Class Initiated by 173.0.81.1

Also, Can you also send me the link that explains how to set up sandbox testing? I tried to do it previous but did not have success. However, I think I will have to figure it out this time. Thanks

ModeratorHi if it is only happening for (Premium Lifetime membership). Can you share with me how did you set up this payment button? Or what are the button settings?
Here is a sandbox link you can use to help you create a sandbox account.
Thank you

ParticipantHi again,
This button is set up as a one time payment with full access to all pages on the website. It’s a ‘buy now’ type buttonNo expiry date. As it sounds, it is a one time purchase for lifetime access. What other types of details may you need?
I built the button through Paypal, not through with the short code through the plugin because the button wouldn’t appear within the pricing table plugin I am using.
I have had successful transactions using this button. Only the last 2 transactions, consecutively failed. For this reason, I wrote into technical support.
Should I just try creating a new button and post the code in? Maybe some sort of random error. Or do you think I’ll have the same problem?
Thanks,
AmyDecember 9, 2015 at 12:49 am #4417mbrsolution
ModeratorI would suggest that you create a PayPal buy now button using the plugin instructions. This allows the plugin to better control all transactions. You will also eliminate future issues like the one you are reporting now.
Thank you
