Hi,
I am new to wordpress so I apologise if this is a simple fix, but after spending a few hours on google and youtube I have not found a solution.
I am using the Astra theme with Elementor and WordPress version 6.4.3
I have setup one membership level and I have created a test page which I have applied protection to (using the default WordPress page editor, not Elementor)
When I log out of the site and visit the protected page, the message that says “You need to be logged in to view…..” is in the top left corner of the screen and is hidden underneath the main menu.
I can’t figure out what I have done wrong?
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Kind regards,
Matt
Let’s start by having you first turn on the debug logs; and then perform this checklist.
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/forums/topic/test-for-plugin-and-theme-conflict-before-posting-an-issue-or-a-bug/
Thank you for that test.
I deactivated all plugins and the problem was still there.
When I changed over from Astra to the default theme it worked.
I believe Astra to be a well used theme so do you think this is really the cause of the problem?
Thank you,
Matt
Are you using the free, or paid, version of Astra?
If disabling the Astra theme resolves the issue; then it means something Astra is doing, is causing the issue. Have you tried asking on the Astra support forum?
