    Hi,
The log in page (http://www.tvhobownersassociation.in/membership-login/) which was working fine for over 2 months now starting displaying ‘user not found’ msg even for valid users (and pwds). Unfortunately I am not seeing any attachment option to include the screenshot here in this question.

When we click on the Log in link on the vertical menu bar (http://www.tvhobownersassociation.in/wp-login.php) the same login credentials are working fine and we are able to log in successfully.

Would be great if you could look in to this.

    cheers.

Hi, do you know what has changed from the moment it stopped working?

For example did you update one or more plugins? Did you update the theme? Did you add a new plugin?

No, i didn’t make any changes. There was a notification of an update of this plugin which i activated hoping it may fix the issue. But it didn’t.

Hi, can you verify that the user exist under WordPress User’s and also in Simple Membership Members area? Can you also enable debug mode and check the log file?

Hi have you got the latest plugin version? Can you also deactivate all your other plugins except this one and carry out a test? Did you enable debug mode and checked the log file?

@mbrsolution, Thanks for your prompt note. When I tried logging using a temp id which is created in both the lists it worked.I just noticed that the admin userid is NOT listed under the WP Membership > Members menu but is present in the word press users list. May be i never logged in at the wp-login.php and hence never faced this issue.

    Hi,
How do i make the admin credentials of wordpress login apply automatically to membership login page as well? Right now even as as admin when i click the website which asks for login (membership plugin’s login) since admin is not present as a user in the plugin it doesnt recognize. I am trying to avoid creating another user as an admin under the plugin. Also, curious as to what would happen if i create a user with name ‘admin’ with a different pwd? Thx.

@mbrsolution, Thanks a bunch for the pointers to user import. I installed the user import plugin, created a user group ‘Admin Access Level’ and could also see my admin user ‘tvhoboa’ when i went to user import menu. However even after i selected this admin user and clicked ‘apply’ button in the import process, I still don’t see this admin user in the ‘Users’ list of simple membership.

And the admin id still gets the ‘user not valid’ message when accessing the site.
