ParticipantHi,
Membership plugin created defalut sites in WordPress for Login, registration, password change etc. When I try to edit and save one of those sites I get a JSON error like this:
“Aktualisierung fehlgeschlagen. Die Antwort ist keine gültige JSON-Antwort.”
In english about this “Update.failed.The response is not a valid JSON response.”
I tried the Classic editor, which is not relying on JSON, but that editor gives a different error. When hitting th e”update” button it say:
“Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access this resource.”Well, any idea what is going wrong?

ModeratorAre you able to create or edit any other pages; other than the ones SWPM creates?

ParticipantHi,
yes. Creating sites and editing new ones is no problem.

ParticipantFound another Bug. I enabled the feature “Enable free membership” and entered a random ID beneath. After saving ID is gone and registration page gives a message, that free membership is disabled on that site.

Moderator- Are we talking about Internet “Sites” or WordPress “Pages” on your site?
- Please try deactivating SWPM and downloading/installing a fresh copy.

ParticipantYou are right. I meant Pages, like the “Join US” default page. Just translated it wrong from german. Will install a fresh copy later on.

KeymasterI am not seeing this anywhere else so I don’t have enough data to guess where the conflict is coming from but it is some kind of conflict somewhere. Did you already try testing by switching the theme to a default WP theme?
What PHP version is being used on this server? Which hosting provider are you using? It is using the latest version of WP and the plugin?

ParticipantFound the solution. Had modsecurity2 enabled in Apache. Disabling it removes the error with editing pages. Now I just have to find out, how to finetune this mod so it won’t interfere with this plugin anymore. Thanks for trying to help me with this matter.
