Is there a way to limit the payment options that are displayed to the user on a payment button?
In my case I would like to show only the credit card row of the PayPal Smart Checkout button.
It currently displays three rows of options – PayPal, PayPal Credit, and Credit Card.Are you following the PayPal Smart Checkout Buttons instructions?

Yes I did follow the the instructions.
In my case both check boxes are unchecked.
Checked or unchecked I still have three choices as mentioned in my first post.
I note that if I select Horizontal verses Vertical, it reduces the choices to just a single PayPal Checkout button.
I am satisfied if it cannot be done. I will add text to direct the users I am targeting to select the credit card button and that should suffice.Probably better to use the following WP Express Checkout plugin integration. It offers some of those advanced paypal button controls that you are looking for:
