ParticipantHello Support, I would like to second the proposal by https://simple-membership-plugin.com/forums/topic/exclude-protected-posts-from-recent-posts/ to limit check active members and limit posts based on membership, or default is Public.
It half works now, when I have a post set to “Yes, Protect this content” The content in the post itself is private, but the post still shows up to Public and on the main Blog landing page it even shows the text in the Blog until you click in.
I tried a few Privacy page restriction plugins, but all fail because your membership plugin is active.
Please add or fix this functionality of this….

KeymasterThis is most likely a theme related issue so do the following test:
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/forums/topic/test-for-plugin-and-theme-conflict-before-posting-an-issue-or-a-bug/By default the post will be protected everywhere (when you protect it). Some themes will show an EXCERPT instead of the actual post content. So for example, some themes will show an excerpt on the blog posts listing page which will create the issue you explained.
If your theme has an option to show full text instead of excerpt, then try that option to see if that works better.
Also, Go to the following settings of WordPress and select the
Full Textoption to see if that helps:WordPress General Settings -> Reading -> For each post in a feed, includeDecember 6, 2021 at 3:52 pm #23346Morphious
ParticipantThank you for your response, that does seem to be the issue on the Blog listing page with the excerpt showing the content section of a blog post.
But it does not explain the second part of this, why is it showing the rest of the blog post, the title, media, date posted, and link to read more.
Any idea how to completely hide all parts of the post unless its access by a signed in Member?
