    Hi, I have the default account status set at “Pending” as I want to approve each new member, but when they are registering they are able to bypass the approval process and some accounts are being automatically approved and given access.
    How do I fix this? Why is this happening?

    Hi, under Advanced Settings, do you have the following feature Enable Auto Create Member Accounts enabled? If you do can you disable it.

    Do you have any plugin installed in your site that might be interfering with our plugin?

    Can you also enable Debug mode under General Settings. Next time this happens again, can you check the log files and report back to us any findings from the log file.

    Hello, no I did not have that feature enabled, so far when I run tests I am able to login right after they click on the confirmation email. They go to a page that says that their account is “Pending” but they can easily bypass that and login anyway, without being approved. They are being automatically approved after confirming their email address.

    I don’t think there are any plugins that interfere with your plugin, I installed some add-ons, custom message and form builder – do you think that is what is doing that?
    Also on form builder, it took a while for the form to update some checkboxes I created for registration, it took a couple of hours. At first they would only show up as option 1, option 2, option 3. But when I left it alone they appeared after a couple of hours.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately, I have the same problem. As soon as the user confirms his registration he will be activated although the default status is pending.

    @Schmerge,

    Make sure you have not enabled Email Activation for the Free membership level.
