ParticipantHi,
I get this message a lot. invalid email address, while I am sure the email addresses I am entering are valid ones. Any idea what to do about it.
For the rest I love the plugin.
Sincerely,
Mieke Haveman

ModeratorHi, can you provide more information. For example does this happen when you log in as a member?
Regards

ParticipantIt happens when I try to make new member logins. I manage a few sites for organisations. It sometimes also happens when I make usernames. But more often with email addresses.
Sincerely,
Mieke

ModeratorHi, is the error message related to one particular e-mail address or various e-mail addresses. For example are they all coming from gmail, hotmail. yahoo or related to the domain? Do you have any plugin that might be causing this issue? Are you using the same host or different host?

ParticipantVarious email addresses.and not all are gmail, or hotmail. So I can see no logic in why some are rejected. And it happens with websites on different hosting platforms. And I can’t see that any of my other plugins is causing the problem.
Sincerely,
Mieke

ModeratorHi, do you have a cache plugin installed? Do you use CDN? It sounds like a cache issue to me.

ParticipantNo I don’t. Would that solve the problem?

Mieke

ModeratorHi, having a cache plugin does not mean it will solve the problem you are experiencing. If you did have a cache installed and you did not exclude the membership login pages etc it would cause other issues.
The plugin developers will investigate further your issue.
Thank you

KeymasterI don’t see this issue on any other site. So something is causing this on your site. Please share a link to your registration page and an email address that shows the error. I can then inspect the issue on your site.

ParticipantI don’t use a registration page. I just add the members by hand myself. But thank you for trying to help.

KeymasterHi, in order for me to provide any insight or solution, I first need to be able to reproduce the issue on my end using our plugin. Could you please share the exact steps I can follow to see the error? For example, provide one or two email addresses that triggered the issue for you. I can then test those exact email address values on my registration form to determine whether the problem lies within our plugin’s email validation code or if it’s related to an external factor, such as your site’s environment or a conflict with another plugin.

ParticipantThank you for quick response. This problem self healed. I got the error for 5 out of 40 addresses. One hour later everything worked fine. I cannot see that I did anything different when it worked.
