You can enable special member registration using an invitation code or password with the Simple Membership plugin. This allows you to restrict registration to specific users who have the code or password.

Step-by-Step Setup
Follow these steps to set up invite-only registration:
Step 1 – Create a New Registration Page
Create a new registration page that will be used for the invite-only registration process.
Step 2 – Add a Registration Form for the Membership Level
Use this feature of the Simple Membership plugin to insert a registration form for your specific membership level on the newly created page. You can do this by adding the correct shortcode for the specific membership level, as explained here.
Step 3 – Password Protect the Special Registration Page
To restrict access, enable password protection for the page:
- While editing the page, go to the Visibility settings in the Publish or Page Settings section.
- Select Password Protected and set a password (this will serve as the invitation code).
Only users with the correct password will be able to access and complete the registration form. See the screenshot below for reference.
Step 4 – Share the Registration Link and Invitation Code
You can now share the URL of the special registration page and the invitation code with the users you want to invite.
