ParticipantI’m really confused.
I need two buttons – one for a paying member to cancel their PayPal subscription and one for them to cancel a Stripe subscription.
At the moment I have a button to cancel a PayPal subscription but that deletes the profile edit form. Are you saying I can’t have the form and the cancel button unless I pay for the addon? Surely that can’t be right.
I don’t yet have a Stripe subscription cancel button.
Can I create my own profile page and put the buttons on there?
To be clear – I don’t yet have any paying members. I can’t afford to pay for addons that may not ever be used (and surely should be a part of the basic plugin) until I have paying members. BUT I need to have working cancel buttons and an edit profile page – preferably the same page.
Is this possible or should I be looking elsewhere?
Many thanks and best wishes,
Jerry.

ParticipantHi again – apologies – iwas putting the code in “code” rather than “shortcode”.
So I now have a simple link “cancel subscription from PayPal”, and that seems to b working. But there is now nothing else on that page. All the other options for the member to edit their profile have gone.
Is there some way I can edit the member profile page?
This is counter-intuitive. I think there should be a ‘my account’ section where the member can change their details and the buttons for stripe and paypal subscription cancelations. Would this be hard to aachieve?
I also need a button for Stripe subscritpion cancelation.
Many thanks for your helpd. I’m sure I’ll get there.
Best wishes,
Jerry.

ParticipantI have now entered the code from the link above on a test page, and included my Paypal merchant id but it is now just displaying the code.

It displays the code whether logged in or not.
Would it not make sense for these buttons to be included in the plugin? A member should be able to easily cancel their subscription as standard.

ParticipantHi
Hi – I added these codes, as per the instructions:
[swpm_paypal_subscription_cancel_link]
[swpm_stripe_subscription_cancel_link]

ParticipantHi
Yes, I have test accounts that I log into to see what works etc.

ParticipantFurther to my previous message I have ‘published’ the test page so you can see it

ParticipantHow can I test this?
I created a test page and added the shortcodes and the preview screen returns an error message saying I have to specify my merchant ID in the shortcode, and the message ‘you are not logged in as a member’.
The codes don’t work when I just insert them on the profile page. Nothing appears on the member’s prifile page
