Use Simple Membership to Login to complete woocommerce purchase

So our new site is up and running, and feedback (despite a few teething issues) has been good.

I’m now looking at moving our current shop from opencart to woocommerce (to try and give the site a single sign on feel). So this afternoon, I was playing around and discovered that if I enter my Simple Membership Login details to woocommerce, woo handles the log in process but then directs me to my logged in pages.

Ideally what I want to be able to do is for woo to handle the request and allow the user to complete the checkout process based on the data we already hold.

Is this possible?

Not sure that the the plugin will do what I want?

When a user clicks “I’m a returning customer” will it log them in to complete a purchase? Or will it not?

I don’t want to process our membership sign ups through woocommerce, rather sell merchandise such as t-shirts etc. But want the user to have just one login.

Yes, it will log them into their existing WP user profile (if they have one). Woocommerce uses that WP user profile for checkout purpose.
