Email does not show “visual”, but shows text instead

Hello,
when sending using “send direct email”, the email does not show the visual, eg picture with link, but shows the html text instead, e.g.
“[caption id="attachment_1765" align="alignleft" width="150"]<a href=”https://xxxxxxxxxx.de/bilder-einreichen/&#8221;

Also the first name tag is shown instead of the first name, probably the same with the other tags. What do I do wrong?
