I am trying to use the “email to users” plugin to email my users. That plugin allows emails to wordpress roles. Is there a way Or could you create an addon to send emails to membership levels. (without using a paid service like mailchimp)

We do have an integration for MailerLite:

Their “free” plan allows an unlimited number of audiences; so you can associate one with each of your membership levels.

No, I don’t want a fancy marketing thing. All I want is a way to send an occasional email to all the members of a given membership level. The same way “mail to users” does to WP roles.

It “might” be possible to add a bulk membership-level messaging tool. I will ask the developer.

We are working on a feature for this. It will be available in the next release of the plugin.

We have released a feature for this. You can see the new option in the “Members -> Send Direct Email” menu.

I ran into this too and ended up using a plain email export of the users in that membership level. Then I sent out my message using my sip provider’s email tool, which let me reach everyone at once without needing to mess with the plugin’s internal mail setup. It was way faster, especially since I already use the sip provider for sending out other updates.
