There are a few member specific email merge tags/shortcodes that you can use to customize the email body. The plugin will dynamically replace these tags with the actual value of the member when sending the email.

Standard Email Merge Tags
The following email tags/shortcodes can be used in the email body field of the Email Settings menu.
- {first_name} – Member’s first name
- {last_name} – Member’s last name
- {email} – Member’s email address
- {member_id} – Member ID
- {user_name} – Member’s username
- {account_state} – Account State
- {membership_level} – Membership Level ID
- {membership_level_name} – Membership Level Name
- {phone} – Phone number (if available)
- {member_since} – Member since date
- {subscription_starts} – Subscription start date
- {company_name} – Company name
- {primary_address} – Member’s address
- {expiry_date} – Member’s account expiry date
Prompt to Complete Registration Email
In addition to the above mentioned merge tags, the following email merge tag works on the Prompt to Complete Registration email body. The registration process documentation explains the full registration process of the Simple Membership plugin.
- {reg_link} – The special registration link that a member receives when making payment for a new paid membership account
Password Reset Email
In addition to the above mentioned standard email merge tags, the following merge tag also works on the Password Reset email body (if you are using the password reset using link feature).
- {password_reset_link} – The special reset link to reset the password
Bulk Account Activate Notification
We have added support for email merge tags in the bulk account activation notification email.
