I’m setting up a simple community site and need both public and private areas. The private areas will consist of pages, documents (stored in the Media Library), and eventually photo galleries. I’ve installed this plug-in and so far it works great for pages. I figured out how to make it work for files in the Media Library, but am finding it rather tedious to edit each file separately to set protection and membership level. Any way to do this in bulk? I haven’t figured out what to use for photo gallery yet. Any advice on a plug-in that is compatible with this one?
Hi, are you referring to images in Media?
Actually, I have a number of PDF files in Media.
Unfortunately at present there is no way to bulk protect media files if that is what you are after.
Also in version 3.4.1 the following was added. Does that help you?
Added an option to bulk update the “Membership Level” value of a group of members.
Regards
Thanks. Any recommendation on a photo gallery plug-in that works with Simple Membership? Would hope that I could secure the entire gallery at once vs. each individual photo.
Hi the following plugin Simple Photo Gallery works with Simple Membership plugin.
Thanks! I was able to download, install, create a gallery, and upload photos. I see pages created but, oddly, when I attempt to view them I get a page not found error. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?
FYI, I changed the Gallery page to be a child of the Home page and it seems to be working now.
