What is the best practice for users to change their own password. If I manually change the member password it is not replicated in the user profile and it is causing conflicts.

If I wanted to have a members be able to change their profile information and password how is this done and maintain the relationship with members and users?

    Thanks,

    Jared

There is a “Forgot Password” link in the login widget. Your users can click that link and reset the password.

What happens if a member changes their user password. Will that break the membership? I need them to be able to update their profiles themselves.

to clafify: If a user is allowed access to their Wp User Profile and they change their password in the user area. Will that break the membership and cause login problems and registration problems.

What is the best way to allow members to update their profile. They need access to the Bio area and avatar areas that don’t exist in simple membership area.

It doesn’t really seem to break the membership as far as access to content. I allowed users to change their password in the WP User Profile and I ended up having to sync the passwords between the WP user and the SWPM members tables. Though members where able to login, they lost functionality in another plugin because the passwords were out of sync.
