ParticipantI’m using Simple Membership Plugin, free version on WP4.6.1 running Total theme. Having similar problems to other people on this site. I set up a member profile, use another browser to login but can’t access protected pages, being told I have to login to view content, even though I’m logged in. The protected page is set up to be visible to the appropriate membership level for the member login. I’ve tried clearing the cache, going incognito, using other browsers and sometimes it works, but mainly it doesn’t. Same problem when I move to WP 2016 theme, and also when I deactivate plugins. And although the debugging is activated, when I click to see the debug file, it returns a blank page.
Do you have a problem with current WP version?

ModeratorHi, are you currently using the Form Builder add-on? Can you provide more information in regards to your comment.
I set up a member profile,
When you log in are you login in with an Admin account from WordPress?

ParticipantHi – not using Form Builder.
I log out as admin. Then I log in using a preconfigured member login set up with Simple Membership plugin. I check the profile page to see that I am indeed logged in, but then I can’t access a protected page even though the page is supposed to be accessible for a member.
But occasionally it works and I can’t figure out why – it isn’t repeatable.November 19, 2016 at 9:28 pm #8934mbrsolution
ModeratorAnd have you tried deactivating all your other plugins and carrying out a test as well?
What do you mean by.
Then I log in using a preconfigured member login set up

ParticipantYes, I have deactivated all the other plugins (only 3 others – it’s a new site)
I added a new member using the Add Members tab by creating a new profile, added it to a membership level assigned to the page I wanted to test. Then logged out as admin and logged in as the new member but couldn’t see the page because I was being told to login even though I was logged in….

ModeratorOkay is the member assigned to a free membership level? If it is did you set up the free membership level correctly in your settings?

ParticipantAh – that’s it. I hadn’t appreciated you had to set a free level like thta. Thank you for your help. I love this plugin – thank you for making it free and providing support.
