There maybe some setting that I’m just being blind to, but at the moment no one can login using their email. You have to use the username instead. Is there any way I can set it so the email is the username?
Can you provide more information in regards to this issue you are having. For example what is the login name of one of the users that is trying to log in with their e-mail address?
All usernames are currently the first and last name of that person. So mine is ‘BrynJoslin’. However, we’d like to be able to login with our email; for me ‘brynjoslin@gmail.com’
Hi, can you carry out a test. Add a new member to your site but use an e-mail as the username? What happens?
Hello.
Also I want the same thing. Want to create a possibility to login by Username OR by the e-mail.
Now it’s impossible by default.
On my project I’ve got a lot of support requests about that. A lot of people trying to login by email and don’t understand that they should use their usernames.
Of course if I create a new member with the same username as e-mail it would works.
But I don’t understand how I can implement it in my project.
@dimabuko You can instruct your users to use their “Email Address” in the username field. And then in the future they will be able to use that to log into the site.
