After the payment has been done by the user and he has been redirected back to the website. Does that mean the payment is gone through successfully or is there any possibility it could have gone wrong?
I need to know it right away. Because after I redirect the user back I immediately need to know if the payment has gone through and show them some content that is hidden for non paid users.

Yes that means the money has gone through successfully. You can read more about the registration process in the following documentation.
