I have had problems with member registrations expiring before they were due. When I check the error logs I see that there is a time discrepancy of 14 hours between the actions taken on the error logs and my computer.
My computer, VPS and WordPress settings are all set to GMT-5 so I’m not sure why the logs would be 14 hours ahead.
Is there a way to set Simple Membership Time Zone?
Could this be a reason for my memberships expiring too soon?
Thank you.
Currently we are working on adding an option that you allow you to adjust the timezone. Hopefully, we will be able to add it to the next release.
We can’t really offer a time accuracy that is shorter than a day. Because we use WordPress cronjob hooks and that can be executed anytime during that day.
The best way to handle this kind of situation is to offer an extra day or two in your membership level’s access duration. So lets say you want something for 30 days. In the access duration use a value like 31 days so it covers a little more to make sure the user gets the full time plus a little bit more.
Thank you. I will give that a try.
I have set the one month memberships to 33 days.
I assume it will not create a problem with PayPal taking out the money every month on the same day?
