Is it correct that once a person signs up they receive another email where they need to confirm that they want to receive email notifications? I believe my members are having to do that.

Is there a way where once they sign up, they get automatically added to the mailchimp email list?

Hi, have you checked your MaiLChimp settings? This is more of a MailChimp settings behavior.

I don’t see anything in the mailchimp settings for the list. Is the plugin supposed to function in the way that the person needs to confirm email subscription once they sign up via receiving another email?

if so, is there another way to have people automatically signed up to receive email updates when they pay for their subscription?

Hi, this plugin does not control any part of MailChimp. This plugins function is to integrate with MailChimp lists. So when someone signs up in your website and you want them to be added to a MailChimp list then this add-on will allow that to happen.

As I mentioned above I think your best bet is to get in contact with MailChimp support about your question.

Let me know how you go with your issue.

    Regards

Mailchimp does that. To my understanding its a step that cannot be disabled. They want to make sure you have permission to send that person emails. The receiver has to confirm that they give you permission by clicking that link in the email they receive from Mailchimp.

    Mailchimp blows.
